Go to your Calendar and find the first entry for each month of 2009. Post the first line of it in your journal, and that's your "Year In Review".

January- Last night Crease and I had dinner at an Italian restie, watched dvd's, drank champagne and watched fireworks bouncing off of the Sky Tower.
February- There is this "old hat" at _____.
March- Crease and I got our "dream" 2 bedroom apartment on the 7th floor of a high rise!
April- Oh Whit! You're so cute and popular even here in Auckland.
May- A few weeks ago, I was walking down High Street...and I noticed the girl in this Mint Chicks video walking across the street.
June- We went to visit Mum in Matamata and picked up our new breakfast table which now sits in front of our window with the beautiful view.
July- I randomly found this Auckland photographer guy on Twitter.
August- The other night The Specials played a show out here, and I didn't go because it was sold out, and I'm "poor as."
September- BUMMER. The one band I actually cared to see in forever and the lead singer becomes sick. =( (Airborne Toxic Event)
October- "Favourite Music: Still '01 Jade Tree. Time to grow up?"
November- On Friday night, Jeff, Crease and I went to see Over The Atlantic @ Cassette#9.
December- Just when I thought I was getting "on top" of my photo posting, the plug-in adapter to the computer crapped out and the computer battery died!

| Okay I take it back... |
[22 Dec 2009|09:33pm] |
I have a lot to write about now...

-After 16 months of freelancing/temp. work, I've finally been signed on as a fulltimer! With 4-5 weeks of paid vacation time per year. YESSSSSSSSSS. Srsly, who wants to travel with me?! Can I get my former self back already?
-My pen pal L sent me the most amazing care package! Mix cds, mac n' cheese, a gorgeous bracelet from Istanbul and so much more awesome stuff. There are so many songs on the mixes that I've never heard before like, "How the hell did I not hear this song until now?" many moments like that.
-We saw Green Day and my 12-year-old spirit now 28-year-old heart was so giddy. I even cried a little. (But you already knew that!)
-I'm going to be in the Waikato tomorrow night, then the Coromandel...and then Wellington for New Year's Day! I've heard Welly is an amazing city, and I can't wait to explore it.
-In one month I'll be in Hong Kong! And the Philippines. I hope my cousins can take me to that Filipino prison where they do all those Michael Jackson tributes. =)
-My cousin is still on Filipino "Big Brother," and he's one of the favourites in the house. He has no idea how popular he is. He has fans all over the world now. We're hoping he makes it to the Top 4!
-I'm going to Big Day Out! Troy, Le Frenk, Paul and some of their other friends are coming out here for that! VEGAS!

Hi! I'm 12 again. We decided to purchase Green Day tickets last minute for their show tonight. I hope they play anything from 1,039 Smooth/Kerplunk/Dookie.

[19 Dec 2009|01:47am] |
We just saw a little bit of YaCHt tonight from Portland. They put up a map of the States on a projector and did a little bit of geography showing...California, Washington...where grunge started and grunge 3 somewhere in Oregon...but they called it bad grunge like "Everclear" which they called grunge 4 & 5.
I cheered for America and Jeff gave me a fist jab (terrorist fist jab).

| Where did my inspiration go??? |
[16 Dec 2009|09:30pm] |
I used to have so much to write about...perhaps, I'm withering away. Instead I have a million photos that I probably won't write captions about. They're piling up with no ambition.

I'll be travelling to Matamata, Pauanui, Taupo, Waiheke Island and Wellington at the end of this month. I'm really looking forward to it! Perhaps, that'll give me something to write about. I used to be this excited, hyper, chatty and silly person...completely in love with the world and my friends, but completely unlucky in love. Now I'm sleepy, mellow and sometimes bored with sometimes lackluster connections elsewhere, lost in translation moments but finally with the sweetest person I've ever met. He thinks I'm funny, and when I have a bad day it's okay. He likes me just the same. And when I have a good day it's even better.
I know I won't be here forever and that's fine. I've been watching "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" again and now I'm daydreaming about Philadelphia all over again. (Not when I got mugged and when this camera was stolen.) There were so many fun places to visit in the US, and it was really inexpensive. It's so much easier to be a vegetarian in America.
This "Calendar Girl" song by Stars reminds me of me in the winter:
If I am lost for a day; try to find me But if I don't come back, then I won't look behind me All of the things that I thought were so easy Just got harder and harder each day December is darkest and June is the light but this empty bedroom won't make anything right While out on the landing a friend I forgot to send home Who waits up for me all through the night Calendar girl who's in love with the world Stay alive Calendar Girl who's in love with the world Stay alive I dreamed I was dying; as I so often do And when I awoke I was sure it was true I ran to the window; threw my head to the sky And said whoever is up there, please don't let me die But I can't live forever,I can't always be One day I'll be sand on a beach by a sea The pages keep turning, I'll mark off each day with a cross And I'll laugh about all that we've lost Calendar Girl who is lost to the world Stay Alive Calendar Girl who is lost to the world Stay Alive January, February, March, April, May I'm alive June, July, August, September,October I'm alive November, December, you all through the winter, I'm alive I'm alive

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I just saw this on someone's blog.

Funny because my friend had this weird thing with him. I saw him at the JFK airport when I was leaving NYC. My fmr. bestie also had a major crushcrushcrush. His ex also dated my ex.
Oh Vegas you're so damn funny.

| Alexander McQueen for the Queen! |
[10 Dec 2009|10:54pm] |
I watched the latest episode of Gossip Girl tonight (so crazily amazing) ...and I just about died when I saw Blair in the houndstooth Alexander McQueen blouse. I've loved houndstooth since forever, and if I ever find anything in that pattern I have minimal control over my purchases. (Hah, my lj icon is H&M houndstooth.)

Only $918 worth of geometric ascot perfection. PSSSSSSSSSSHH
Unfortunately that 1% chance is more likely to beat my luck this time.

I'm not going to Singapore anymore but Hong Kong instead! I'm really, really sad, but also really excited. Perhaps one day I'll see Singapore and Malaysia in one trip.
I've already been to Hong Kong, but this time I'll be a bit older and more appreciative/obsessed with fashion. I can't wait!

Even when you shouldn't have anything else left to prove...well into your 50s or 60s, some women are still crazy, catty and extremely childish. Brace yourselves. It's terrible.

Why should the glorified bully who makes her usually slanted plea to the jury...make all the headlines as the "innocent" one in gossip circles??? ...so how about the person (with dignity) who is strong enough to walk away, ignore and not stoop to their level of bottomless bullsh+t and abuse. Why doesn't anybody ever remember that person? I really like that person.
Just to clarify... Thankfully I don't have any people like that in my life. I don't allow it. I don't tolerate it.
